What are you afraid of when the world depends on non materialistic things like Hope? You are afraid of following your dreams? You are afraid of failing? You think that what will happen if you fail? Get these thoughts out first and then continue reading. “Why”is the question here. Why don’t you go and try doing something you love. Before even trying, you give up. Maybe your goal is to score good in your exams, maybe do good in sports, or maybe establish a personal brand. Whatever the goal is, you start thinking what if I fail?
That mindset is the main reason. Do what you want to. Do not think, just do it. Don’t think what people will think, think and do what you want to. You have to let yourself be your sole judge and jury. No one who played it safe has ever made it big. You will face many obstacles but at the end you love what you are doing right? Something which interests you, intrigues you must be done. You need to follow you passion. It may take 3 to 4 years for you to reach there or even a decade but at least you love what you are doing now. The process may be tedious but it will be worth it. It is your life and the chances of you ruining it are very slim. I promise. During your heyday, the people who made fun of you during your efforts will be left clueless.
At the end I would say, please don’t be scared of doing what you love. Don’t think what your are doing is banal or mundane but think that what really you are doing is great and respected by everyone. Don’t be scared of failing at all. All that matters is how you think of yourself. Follow your dreams and live your life. And remember that Passion is your backup generator when all your other other energy sources start to sputter.
